The One With All The Rugby

Episode 4.15

[Previous][Next][Back to the Master List]

While getting his nails done, Chandler runs into Janice--newly divorced and not willing to let Chandler get away. Chandler invents a story about his company transferring him to Yemen. Although Janice believes him, he's not home free yet... she won't leave his side until he's on the plane and taking off. Monica obsesses about an electrical switch that apparently doesn't do anything; after tests, blueprints, and demolition work, she finally gives up. Ross meets some of Emily's friends and gets invited to play rugby; not wanting to lose face, he insists on playing. When they play too rough despite Emily's secret request that they go easy on him, she helps Ross inflict some pain, too, by giving him pointers on their vulnerabilities.

The one where they said....

Chandler: That's right, yes. I'm being transferred to Yemen.
Janice: When?
Chandler: I don't know exactly.
Janice: Well, I will just have to soak up every ounce of Chandler Bing until that moment comes!
Chandler: But I do know it's sometime tomorrow!

Chandler: I'm only pretend-moving to Yemen, okay? It's the only way I can get rid of her.
Joey: Oh, good one! And "Yemen," that actually sounds like a real country!

Janice: Chandler, come on. I'm gonna show you how to roll up your underwear and stuff it in your shoes. It's a real space-saver.
Phoebe: Yeah, I know, I do that 'cause it makes me look taller.

Rachel: What are these?
Monica: Oh, electrical plans for the building.
Rachel: Okay, okay, okay... should I be scared?
Monica: I know that switch has got to do something, okay? So I went down to city hall and got these. All I had to do was pay $25 dollars and wait in line for three hours.
Rachel: Wow! If only more people knew!

Ross: No, I'm not stopping, I'm Red Ross!
Joey: Dude, you go back out there, you're gonna be Dead Ross!

Ross (being hugged by Emily): Eee!
Emily: I'm sorry, did I hurt you?
Ross: It's worth the pain. [She hugs him again.] You know what, you know what? It's not.
