The One With Rachel's Crush

Episode 4.13

[Previous][Next][Back to the Master List]

When Chandler finds out Kathy's new play involves a steamy scene with her co-star, he's worried where it might lead; Joey tells him not to worry--as long as there's chemistry on-stage, there isn't anything happening off-stage; This helps... until Chandler sees the play again later and finds the performance isn't as good; Chandler accuses Kathy of sleeping with her leading man; they fight and part on unfavorable terms; by the time Chandler goes to apologize and make up, it's too late. Monica tells Joey that the guys have to be the hosts since they have the big apartment; but she can't stand it, and tries to win everyone over to her place by doing lots of cooking and re-decorating. Rachel's department at work is eliminated, so she has to become a Personal Shopper; she plans to quit until a handsome, well-to-do young man needs her services; she wants to ask him on a date, but doesn't know how... she's never had to ask anyone out before.

The one where they said....

Phoebe: Oh, hey, Mon? Do you still have, like, your old blouses and dresses from high school?
Monica: Yeah, I think I have some around here somewhere. Why?
Phoebe: Well, it's just that maternity clothes are so expensive.

Joey: Chandler, look, they're actors. They're there to do a job. Just because they work together, doesn't mean they're going to get together. I mean, just 'cause it happened with Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, doesn't mean it's gonna happen with them.
Ross: Oh, oh! Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger.
Joey: Oh! Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.
Ross: Yeah.
Phoebe: Hey, Mel Gibson and Clint Eastwood.
Ross: They're not a couple.
Phoebe: Oh, okay, I get the game now.

Rachel: Well, we should get started. Let me show you my underwear... the selection of underwear that we carry.

Kathy: I'll tell you what, Chandler. Why don't you call me when you grow up!
Chandler: Yeah? Well, don't expect that to happen anytime soon!

Joey: Whoa, whoa. That... that was just a theory! There's a lot of theories that didn't pan out: Lone gunman... communism... geometry....

Joey: Okay, for next time, what do you say?
Rachel: I have an extra ticket. An extra ticket. Not two tickets; I have an extra ticket.
Ross: So the first time you asked a guy out, he... he turned you down?
Rachel: He didn't turn me down! He's at the game isn't he? I got the date, I'm just not on it!

Rachel: Honey, this is not your fault. Just because you guys had a fight does not justify her sleeping with someone.
Ross: Well, if... if she thought they were on a break...
